Graceful exits
September 28th, 2011 by Regina Brett
Planning for your funeral and final days seems a bit morose, but it’s actually a great gift to give your family.
Last year my mom sat down and told me what she wanted for her funeral, right down to the readings and songs. She filled out paperwork the church gave her and has it on file so we will all know her wishes.
Tonight at 7 on “The Regina Brett Show” on WKSU 89.7 FM, the topic is “Graceful Exit.”
Sheryl Harris, Plain Dealer Consumer Columnist, and one of my dearest friends, will share tips on how to leave your affairs in order.
Kevin O’Brien, a Life-Cycle Celebrant, will tell how to turn a funeral into a celebration of life.
Chip Billow, President of Billow Funeral Homes and Crematory, will talk about changing trends.
Charlotte Eulette, International Director of the Celebrant Foundation and Institute, a non-profit educational organization headquartered in New Jersey, will share how to create a ceremony to best mark someone’s passing.
You can call in with questions or comments at 888-957-8897 or email during the show: regina@wksu.org
We’re also going to talk about how to give a eulogy. What would you want said in your eulogy?

I just completed reading your book for the FIRST time. I have used it as a daily meditation, was very said when I reached chapter 50. So I shall start all over. When I was first told of your book, my mother had just died. I got it, started reading it daily, have been blessed ever since. It seemed to always be right on. Since then small changes have occured in my life. Beginning an exercise plan, rejoining the catholic church, watching my grandson graduating Air Force basic training. Thank God Thank you. Keep on writing, Blessings Barbara Haynes, originally Cleveland Ohio, now Austin, TX. I have many relatives in Cleveland, hope to visit them soon, in God s time, whichever comes first.
