One delicious email

October 29th, 2011 by Regina Bertt

Every so often you get one of those emails that not only lifts your spirit, it nearly lifts you out of your chair.

I just read this one from Nicole:

"Hi Regina! my name is Nicole, 17 and I'm from Monterrey, Mexico. About 2 weeks ago I went to the book fair of my city hoping that a book would find me. I wanted something about love, something magical, something exceptional."

"As I was walking I saw your book. The word that got me was God. The title is amazing." (Good, because I was worried putting 'God' in the title might scare some people away.)

"This night I have already finish it and the book is an amazing chocolate cake. I absolutely adore it. It understands me, it helps me, it gives me so much. Your journey it's a story worth telling and I'm very grateful for your words. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul. I will do the lessons for the rest of my life."

Oh, Nicole, thank YOU from the bottom, top and middle of my heart for calling my book "amazing chocolate cake." That just might be the highest -- and most delicious -- praise I've ever received.

Wasn t that 17 year old s writing a sweet use of words. I enjoy chocolate cake that makes me think of velvet is so delicious habit forming. You must always use your gift of writing to present truth, to inspire, to accent the Goodness of God. I send kind thoughts words of appreciation to you.
