Play Time
June 6th, 2010 by Regina Brett
Just said goodbye to the last of my siblings. Nine out of ten of them came to town to celebrate my nephew Luke's graduation from high school.
My nieces and nephews didn't spend their time here watching TV and movies or playing video games on DS or the internet. They played badminton, painted pirate ships made of wood, made Shrinky Dinks in the toaster oven, had a pillow fight, dropped Mentos into Diet Coke bottles to create fountains of pop and ran around like kids in love with summer.
How refreshing to see kids just being kids.

I m glad you enjoy family life I can appreciate what you say. But I m still trying to get over one of your last shows on 90.3 the girl didn t get to buy new clothing because her dad was a dead beat . I ve played the show over over I can t help but feel lost by the tone of fathers who dont pay child support. What you were t listening too was that the girl really just needed a father no money clothing supplants a father . I pay my child support I still am not allowed to see my son he s the only family I have all because Cuyahoga County Juvinile Court the the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency (get it Child $upport as opposed to loving support by a father enforcement have their priorities in money, not supporting fathers to be fathers. Why cant I see my son? The guardian ad litem system is broken the judges want to do the bare minimum to cover them selves no one cares that I havent seen my son for over 2 years I know my son needs me I think about him every day. Then I see what you write I m just amazed that you support such a system. I m not sure what to think
